Mr. Mathews has served as a Managing Director of Bridgefield Capital Management, LLC since July 2015.

Mr. Mathews combines over 20 years of investment experience alongside a deep understanding of corporate operations developed through C-Level operating and Board roles.  Mr. Mathews was previously a founding partner and Managing Director of Ilex Capital Group, a consumer focused private equity investment firm, as well as a Managing Director at Clearview Partners working their corporate finance practice.  Prior to his time at Ilex, Mr. Mathews served as the Chairman & CEO at Nexus Communications Corp.

Mr. Mathews has served on the board of directors of companies including Calgon, St. Joseph Healthcare, and Gourmet Express, as well as serving on the board at Nexus Communications and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

Mr. Mathews graduated with a degree in economics from the University of Maryland.
